Superfood Protein Bites (Macaroons) 

  • 1/2 cup oats
  • 1/2 cup milled flaxseeds
  • 1/2 cup shredded coconut 
  • 1/4 cup cacao powder 
  • 1 tsp chia seeds
  • 1 scoop NewZ Whey Protein Chocolate
  • 1/2 cup peanut butter (or almond butter) 
  • 1/3 cup raw honey
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract 

Directions: Mix all ingredients together in a bowl until everything is very well mixed. We mix everything by hand since we find it makes it easier to mix that way. Then grab a small portion and roll into little balls. Refrigerate for about 1 hour and enjoy!

Special Note: They can be stored in room temperature. This batch makes anywhere from 20-30 bites. 

Bree's Double Dark Chocolate Protein Zucchini Muffins 

:

  • 1/4 cup Super Vital Foods raw cacao powder
  • 1/4 cup soaked/sprouted whole wheat flour (OR buckwheat, almond or coconut flour for gluten free option)
  • 1-2 scoops NewZ chocolate whey protein powder
  • 1 tsp baking soda
  • 1/4 tsp Redmond's Real salt
  • 3 whole eggs (ideally pastured eggs)
  • 1/4 cup raw cane juice crystals (Super Vital Foods) OR raw honey (you can use slightly less sugar to make them less sweet)
  • 1/4 cup melted coconut oil or grass-fed butter 
  • 1 tsp organic vanilla extract
  • 1 cup shredded zucchini (squeeze excess water out)
  • 1/4 cup (or less) raw chocolate chips or cacao nibs (optional, sprinkle 3-4 chips on each muffin) (Super vital Foods)


Directions: Preheat oven to 285 F. Combine cacao powder, flour of choice, baking soda, protein powder, cane juice crystals and salt in a large bowl and set aside. In a separate bowl, mix eggs, oil or butter, and vanilla until incorporated. Pour the wet mixture into the dry and mix. Before you add the zucchini, be sure to squeeze out additional moisture. Then, add zucchini to the mix. Line a muffin pan with muffin liners. Sprinkle desired amount of raw chocolate chips on top before putting them in the oven. Bake for 35 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean. Remove from the oven and allow to cool completely. Enjoy!

 

CACAO PROTEIN GREEK YOGURT

  • 8 oz Plain Greek Yogurt  
  • 1 scoop NewZ Whey Protein Chocolate 
  • 1 Tbsp raw cacao powder 
  • 1-2 squirts chocolate liquid stevia (sweet leaf brand) 
  • 1 Tbsp blended cashews/cashew butter 

*Optional: Add a little bit of warm water to make it less thick. 

Directions: Add all ingredients together and blend with well with a fork/spoon. This is a delicious and healthy high protein snack. Ideal as a pre or post workout snack. Enjoy! 

 

GRANOLA HEAVEN - Vanilla Maca

  • 8 oz almond milk unsweetened 
  • 1 cup oats 
  • 1 scoop NewZ Whey Protein Vanilla 
  • 1 heaping tsp maca powder 
  • 1/8 cup raw walnuts 
  • 1/8 cup raw cashews 
  • 4 organic strawberries (sliced) 
  • 1/4 cup blueberries 
  • 1 scoop Pure Stevia Leaf Extract (KAL brand) 

Directions: In a bowl, add some oats and 1 cup hot water. Add rest of ingredients after 5 minutes. Mix well with a spoon/fork.
